‘Ek Villain Returns’ is a sequel to the 2014 hit film ‘Ek Villain’
While the first installment had hit music and some commendable performances from it’s lead cast of Sidharth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh, the second part lacks all of that and some more.

‘Ek Villain Returns’ tries to be an erotic psychological thriller but ends up coming short on all fronts.
Since this is a murder mystery not too much should be revealed about the story but, needless to say, throughout the whole movie there is a search for a serial killer with lots of twists and turns right up till the end.
And like most whodunits, any scene you see unfold on screen may or may not be true. Anyone person assumed dead or alive may or may not be that.
But this movie takes the twists to absurd levels. In the end this movie ends up being illogical and hard to digest.The actresses are there to provide the glamour quotient and they don’t disappoint.
John and Arjun are known for their mediocre acting skills, and they don’t disappoint either!
On the whole, Ek Villain Returns tries to capitalize on the hit status of its first part even rehashing the hit song ‘galiyaan’ in the hopes of attracting more eyeballs; but fails.
Who would’ve thought that the real villain in the movie ‘Ek Villain Returns’… would be the script!
